Mission Statement
The purpose of the Sons of the American Revolution is to preserve the memory of those men and women whose Service and Sacrifice during the American Revolution secured independence for the American people; to unite and promote fellowship among their descendants and inspire them and their communities with a more profound reverence for the principles of the government founded by our forefathers; to encourage historical research about the American Revolution; maintain and extend the institutions of American freedom; promote the purposes expressed in the preamble of the Constitution; and to foster patriotism.
In accordance with our above stated mission to foster patriotism and maintain the institutions of American freedom, the Sons of Liberty Chapter has composed a resolution that takes a stand against those who would restrict, regulate, prohibit, exclude, discourage, or discriminate against the wearing of the Uniform of the United States Armed Services or Uniformed Services by any individual qualifying to wear them.

The Sons of Liberty Chapter, chartered in 1980 and now 100 members strong, meets for luncheon at 12:00 noon on the third Saturday of every month, except February and December, at the Tam O'Shanter Restaurant located at 2980 Los Feliz Blvd., Los Angeles, CA., East of the Golden State (I-5) Freeway. At our meetings, business is kept to a minimum, and a guest speaker is provided. Our speakers cover a wide variety of topics of interest to our members such as American history, the preservation of our history, current events, and genealogy.
At each Chapter Meeting, we are led in an inspirational Invocation, the Pledge of Allegiance, the Pledge to the SAR , an Introduction of Guests, the Meal, the Speaker, a Business Meeting, an inspirational Benediction, and close with the SAR Recessional.

Since the establishment of our Chapter, we never have held a meeting without ladies and guests being present. The Sons of Liberty Chapter strongly believes in family values so family and friends are always welcome.
In addition to our regular meetings we also participate in many group functions and programs sponsored by the SAR and our Chapter.
