January 28: LA Family History Library
Our next Free Genealogy Workshop will be held Saturday, January 28. Get help with your genealogical questions and overcome roadblocks at this work session. You will have FREE access to every genealogical tool available, including expert, one-on-one assistance. Associate Members and others working on their applications are strongly encouraged to attend. This would also be a great event to bring someone who might be interested in membership.
We are scheduled in Training Room 1 from 10:00-noon, but you are welcome to utilize the library and all the tools for the rest of the day. Once again we will be assisted by Sister Carmen Wise, who has been tremendously helpful. It is possible to knock out all the documentation necessary for an application or supplemental in one day.

February 19: 30th Annual Massing of the Colors
Program: The largest celebration of its kind in the westen United States, 2012 will be the 30th annual celebration of George Washington's birth sponsored by the Sons of Liberty Chapter, Sons of the American Revolution! This upcoming event will be held at 3:00 PM, Sunday, February 19, 2012, at Forest Lawn, Hollywood Hills.

Program: Heather Granados
Heather Granados, who recently earned her MA in histroy, will present a program on the life and times of Alexander Hamilton. Heather's experience includes that of Resident Historian for the Manhattan Sites of National Park Service as an educator providing the public with tours on historical sites, events, and figures. She has designed and implemented many programs that have brought history to life. Each of her programs has received recognition and high profile press affirmation.
