The Massing of the Colors & Salute to Our Armed Forces event is scheduled for Sunday 16 February 2025 starting at 3:00 PM. This event will once again happen at Forest Lawn Cemetery Hollywood Hills, 6300 Forest Lawn Drive, Los Angeles.

In honor of George Washington’s birthday and the Armed Forces of the United States, the Sons of Liberty Chapter, Sons of the American Revolution will again be hosting the Massing of Colors and Salute to the Armed Forces.This visually amazing patriotic event has taken place for over 30 years.

The event features a large parade of color and honor guard units (approximately 70) from local schools, ROTC units, military branches, historical societies, as well as representatives from each branch of the military service.

The event will feature a Warbirds fly-by (with missing man formation), as well as artillery and firearm salutes.  All branches of the Military have supported this event in previous years with displays and Soldiers, Sailors, Marines, and Air Force personnel representing their respective service branches.

The Blue Eagles Honor Guard from Edwards AFB will lead the parade and execute ceremonial honors.

This free, non-profit sponsored event empowers the youth of the community, recognizes the military.

This is an outdoor event at a fabulous venue.  The Color Guards are all uniformed and present a remarkable patriotic image.  The entire parade event concluded in approximately 1 hour.

This event provides three huge dividends:

1) recognizes tangibly the Military service to our Nation publicly;

2) validates the youth in our community who make the wise choices to learn leadership and community service through JROTC/Sea Cadet/Young Marines etc and

3) Recognizes the leadership and contributions of General George Washington.
